TransForce Inc., a nationwide truck-driver staffing firm headquartered in Alexandria, Va., acquired Alcoa, Tenn.-based Best Drivers. Best Drivers provides commercial truck drivers throughout the southeastern United States.

The transaction closed Jan. 3 and terms were not disclosed.

Best’s management team joined TransForce’s leadership team and will assume key regional management roles, the company said in a statement.

The acquisition enhances TransForce’s national footprint, providing its national customers with increased geographical coverage of their operations. Among the new markets are those in South Carolina and Florida.

Best Drivers has operations in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Kentucky and Alabama. The combined operations of TransForce and Best Drivers employ more than 2,000 truck drivers nationwide.
