Third of IT Leaders to Boost Hiring

February 08, 2012

Thirty-four percent of information technology leaders expect to increase temporary IT headcount in the next three months, according to the IT executive outlook survey released this week by TEKsystems. Thirty-five percent plan to increase permanent headcount.

“IT leaders are hiring because businesses realize the vital role skilled IT professionals play in competitive success,” said TEKsystems Director Rachel Russell. “Many organizations are simultaneously implementing major IT projects to help achieve business objectives, including mobile applications, business intelligence, virtualization and security initiatives. As a result, the market for IT professionals with relevant skills is extremely tight.”

TEKsystems partnered with the Inavero Institute to conduct the quarterly survey of more than 1,500 IT leaders. TEKsystems is a division of Allegis Group.
