The future of work — Executive Forum

March 16, 2015

“Work really hasn’t been challenged over the last 100 years,” Jacob Morgan said in an interview in Staffing Industry Review magazine.

“The way we have been thinking (and doing work) in the past two decades is pretty much the same way we are doing things today,” Morgan said. “The future of work is all about looking at all those practices, looking at all those strategies, looking at all those technologies that we can use and thinking how we can do things differently.”

Morgan is a best-selling author, speaker and futurist. And he is on a mission to future-proof employees and their organizations. He discusses his takes on the future of work, balance of power between employers and employees, the staffing industry and more in the January/February issue of Staffing Industry Review magazine.

He is also a keynote speaker this week at the Staffing Industry Executive Forum North America, which starts today in Orlando, Fla. Its theme is “Alternative Visions: New strategies for a new era in staffing.” Morgan’s keynote is scheduled for Wednesday.

This year’s Executive Forum is the largest ever, with approximately 1,100 attendees including top level staffing executives. It runs through Thursday.
