The Intersect Group acquires two offices from tech staffing firm

January 15, 2016

The Intersect Group, a national finance, accounting and IT staffing and consulting firm, acquired the Charlotte, NC, and Dallas offices of the technology staffing firm 3Ci.

The Intersect Group has established locations in Atlanta and Dallas. The acquisition increases the company’s Dallas market presence and establish a new region in Charlotte. 3Ci will continue target the technology sector nationwide.

The transaction closed Jan. 13; terms were not disclosed.

All the 3Ci staff in Charlotte in Dallas were given offers of employment with TIG and the 3Ci office leaders in Charlotte and Dallas will become TIG employees.

“We are excited to share expanded service offerings with the clients and colleagues of 3Ci in Dallas and Charlotte in the areas of consulting, finance and accounting” said Rebecca Rogers Tijerino, CEO of The Intersect Group. “Our commitment to advancement and success by serving provides an exciting opportunity for the colleagues and consultants of 3Ci to experience the benefits of high growth and investment in technology, training and development.”

Founded in 1978, 3Ci, had four locations in the southern US. The sale of its Charlotte and Dallas offices will allow 3Ci to more acutely focus on and grow its geographic core in Atlanta and Birmingham.

“After meeting our 20% year-over-year growth goals for Atlanta and Birmingham, we look to expand these markets even further in 2016. We’ve been in Atlanta for almost 40 years, and 3Ci excels here,” said 3Ci President Rob MacLane. “We have ambitious growth plans this year, and expect to grow at 30%.  We are looking forward to the year ahead.”

MacLane joined 3Ci in 2014 and took over as president in 2015.
