The Buller Group LLC, a Herndon, Va.-based recruiting firm that specializes in providing U.S. security-cleared personnel, acquired Military Transitions, a firm aimed at helping private-sector companies recruit, manage and retain military veterans.

Military Transitions’ president, Emily King, will join The Buller Group with the acquisition. King wrote a guide for civilian organizations on hiring and managing veterans called “Field Tested: Recruiting, Managing & Retaining Veterans.” Prior to founding Military Transitions, King was an internal consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton.

Terms of the transaction were not announced.
