Florida plans to hire temporary workers for concealed weapons permits. Meanwhile, Nevada site plans to cut 500 contract workers.
Florida Agricultural Commissioner Charles Bronson got approval to spend $3.9 million to bring in 61 temporary workers to help process a backlog of concealed weapons permits, the Miami Herald newspaper reported.
Some 500 contract workers will be cut by a contractor at the U.S. Department of Energy's Yucca Mountain Project, the Pahrump Valley Times newspaper reported.
