View All NewsTemp expectations vary; highly paid workers expect to be doing less traditional full-time work
July 27, 2015
When asked what types of labor they plan to do more of in their 10-year plans, temporary workers overwhelmingly plan to focus on traditional full-time employment, according to a survey of temporary workers by Staffing Industry Analysts.
However, the degree of temporary worker expectations in performing selected types of labor varies notably as a function of temp wage and age.
- The more highly-paid the temporary worker, the less they expect to be doing traditional full-time work and lower-skilled labor in the future; and the more open they become to doing other types of labor.
- Likewise, the older the temporary worker, the less they expect to be doing traditional full-time work and self-employment; and the more open they become to doing non-permanent work for a former employer, temporary agency work and part-time labor.
