TechTeam Global Inc. (NASD: TEAM) said today its government division, TechTeam Government Solutions, acquired RL Phillips Inc. of Carlsbad CA. Financial terms of the deal, which closed on Aug. 31, were not disclosed.

RL Phillips provides information technology services, and its customers have included the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corp, National Security Agency and others. It had revenue of approximately $5.3 million in its last fiscal year; and its Web site said the company had more than 30 employees.

TechTeam Global provides IT services, help desk services and staffing.

"This acquisition provides our government business with expanded capabilities in the fast-growing information security market while expanding our reach into new government customers — particularly the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps," said TechTeam President and CEO William "Chris" Brown.
