TeamStaff Inc. (NASD: TSTF) announced CEO Rick Filippelli will step down at the end of January. The company said it and Filippelli reached a mutual agreement over his departure after a review found shareholders would best be served by the company focusing on its government staffing subsidiary, TeamStaff Government Solutions.

The Somerset NJ-based company has retained DHR International to identify potential new candidates for CEO.

Filippelli became CEO in January 2007, taking over from Kent Smith.

The company's TeamStaff Rx division provides travel nurse and allied health staffing. TeamStaff's government subsidiary provides healthcare, logistics, information technology and administrative workers under contracts with the federal government.
