Professor Linda Aiken of the University of Pennsylvania will speak on "Taking Healthcare Staffing to the Next Level: Leading Edge Research Results from the Field" during Staffing Industry Analysts' Healthcare Staffing Summit Sept. 8-10.

Aiken will discuss her latest project which involved research on more than 40,000 nurses in 900 hospitals, including travelers and per diems. She will also discuss another of her studies that found temporary nurses are just as qualified as traditionally employed nurses.

Summit attendees will also have a chance to learn about a variety of other healthcare staffing topics as well. The annual Healthcare Summit brings together CEOs of healthcare staffing firms, owners and other executives to focus on a range of topics.
