System One acquires energy market staffing firm

November 10, 2015

Pittsburgh-based System One acquired Precision Resource Company, a contract staffing provider with an emphasis on engineering and technical personnel for energy, power generation and industrial markets.

The transaction closed Nov. 9; terms were not disclosed.

Precision becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of System One Holdings LLC, and will operate in alignment with System One’s energy division. The acquisition coincides with Precision President Keith Byrom’s planned retirement.  All other members of the Precision leadership team will remain in their current roles.

Precision has approximately 35 staff employees operating out of four primary offices: Denver; San Antonio and Amarillo, Texas; and Oak Ridge, Tenn.

“Our companies’ services align perfectly to support our clients’ goals for efficient and cost-effective planning, construction and operations,” said System One President and CEO Troy Gregory. “This move deepens our domain expertise within the energy sector and expands our national geographic presence. It’s a win-win scenario for System One and Precision, and we are excited to have their team on board.”

The transaction follows System One’s acquisition in July of the quality programs business from AECOM.

System One’s core specialty areas include energy, engineering, IT, commercial, clinical and scientific, and industrial staffing and services. Its integrated services also include a proprietary vendor management system, legal e-discovery, utility smart grid installation, and quality assurance/ quality control managed services.

The company ranks fourth on Staffing Industry Analysts’ 2015 list of largest engineering staffing firms in the US and No. 23 on the list of largest US staffing firms overall. In 2013, System One acquired Edison, N.J.-based staffing firm Joulé Inc., and now also ranks as the seventh largest clinical scientific staffing firms in the US.
