Sweden – Demand for skills boosts hiring at ManpowerGroup

17 April 2015

ManpowerGroup Sweden is urgently looking to recruit approximately 2,000 people as a result of a marked increase in demand for skills. The company is looking to take on agency workers on both permanent and fixed-term contracts.

Agency workers in Sweden are employed directly by their staffing company and deployed to client companies on assignments. The agency workers are paid by their agency whether they are on an assignment or not, therefore the recruitment drive by ManpowerGroup can be viewed as a very positive indicator of the Swedish staffing market.

Mikael Jansson, Managing Director of ManpowerGroup Sweden, commented: “We are seeing a huge increase in demand, primarily in industrial, warehouse, and customer services, and it is primarily young people who are in demand. Overall, this is giving us a clear signal that the labour market is headed into a very active period.”

“At the same time we have are getting more and more requests that it is difficult to find the right skills for, so we sincerely hope that we can find the young people we are looking for,” he added.
