Survey: Workforce Strategy Not a Priority

August 29, 2012

A global survey conducted by workforce solutions firm ManpowerGroup Inc. (NYSE: MAN) revealed that many companies either lack a workforce strategy to garner hard-to-find talent or struggle to implement one.

About 78 percent of employers lack such a strategy, according to the survey conducted by the ManpowerGroup's Strategic Workforce Consulting business.

“All companies need a workforce strategy to succeed,” said Owen Sullivan, ManpowerGroup’s president of specialty brands. “Winning companies are able to identify and recruit the right mix of part-time, full-time and skilled talent to meet real-time and future needs.”

The new report also pointed to the increasing fragility of small- and medium-size enterprises, which require the right framework and resources in order to flourish.
