Forty-five percent of U.S. workers said the recession impacted the relationship with their boss, according to a survey by Spherion Staffing Services, a division of SFN Group Inc. (NYSE: SFN). Among those who said the recession impacted their relationship, 74% said it weakened the relationship with their boss.
In addition, the survey found that 34% of workers are somewhat or very dissatisfied with their relationship with their boss.
Thirty-four percent of workers also said they would accept their boss' job if it was offered to them. However, 40% said they would not accept their boss' job.
The survey was conducted by Monster Worldwide Inc. on behalf of Spherion and included a sample of 231 working adults in the U.S.
