Fewer large companies plan to cut information technology staff in the next six months, according to the CDW IT monitor survey released today by CDW, a seller of computer products and services.
Ten percent of large companies said they may cut IT staff in the next six months, down from 17% who said the same in February. Seven percent of medium-size businesses planning to reduce staff compared with 9% in April.
The overall IT monitor score, which measures the mindset of the U.S. IT industry rose one point to 70 (December 2007=69). The measure's survey included 1,048 IT decision makers from business and government.
