Survey - IT workers still tough to find

June 17, 2008

It's just as difficult, or more difficult, to find skilled information technology workers this year compared with last year, according to 77% of CIOs polled by Robert Half Technology, a division of Robert Half International Inc. (NYSE: RHI). Fifty-two percent cited a shortage of qualified IT workers as the reason.

Despite economic uncertainty and a more competitive job market, there are still talent shortages in certain IT specialties, such as applications development, Web development and network administration," said Katherine Spencer Lee, executive director of Robert Half Technology.

The survey questioned 1,400 CIOs across the United States.
