Survey: IT Execs Expect Impact from Mobility

March 06, 2012

Seventy-six percent of information technology leaders expect mobile trends will have a high to extremely high impact on their organization, according to TEKsystems’ quarterly IT executive outlook survey. More than 50 percent of IT leaders also expect cloud computing (58 percent), consumerization of IT (53 percent) and social media (52 percent) will have large impacts on organizations this year.

Forty-six percent of IT leaders expect the top benefit of mobile initiatives to be an increase in employee productivity, while 56 percent expect the top barrier to success to be a lack of necessary staff to implement major IT initiatives.

TEKsystems, a division of the Allegis Group, partnered with the Inavero Institute to conduct the quarterly survey of more than 1,500 IT leaders.
