Improving operational efficiency is the No. 1 objective this year, according to a majority of chief information officers (86%) surveyed by Harvey Nash USA, an information technology solutions and staffing firm. CIOs are also facing budget pressures, according to the survey. A third said they are already working with decreased budgets, and 22% predict more cuts to their outsourcing and offshore budgets.
The survey questioned 321 CIOs.
