Nine percent of executives plan to increase professional staff in the third quarter while 6% anticipate declines, according to the professional employment report survey released today by Robert Half International Inc. (NYSE: RHI). The net 3% increase is down from the prior quarter's forecast.
The survey also found that 85% of executives are confident in their company's ability to grow in the third quarter.
In addition, 42% of executives reported it is challenging to find skilled professionals today.
Survey respondents included more than 1,400 CFOs, 1,400 chief information officers, 500 senior human resources managers, 100 attorneys at law firms, 100 corporate attorneys, 125 advertising executives and 375 marketing executives in the U.S.
