August 25, 2009
Fifty-three percent of employers plan to hire full-time employees in the next 12 months, and 40% plan to hire contract, temporary or project professionals, according to a survey released today by CareerBuilder.com and Robert Half International Inc. (NYSE: RHI).
The survey also found that 47% of hiring managers cited under-qualified applicants as their most common hiring challenge. And the average time it takes to recruit a full-time employee is the same this year as last year -- 4.5 weeks to 14.4 weeks.
The survey questioned more than 500 hiring managers.
