Survey: 52% Used Facebook to Help Find Job

A higher percentage of job seekers used Facebook than competing social networking sites LinkedIn and Twitter  to help find work in 2012, according to a survey by Jobvite. The survey found that 52 percent of job seekers used Facebook to help find a job in 2012, up from 48 percent in 2011.

Thirty-eight percent of job seekers used LinkedIn to help find work in 2012, up from 30 percent in 2011.

On Twitter, 34 percent of job seekers used that social networking site to look for work.

The online survey included 2,108 adults, of which 1,266 were part of the American workforce.
