April 25, 2012

Thirty-seven percent of information technology leaders expect to increase temporary IT headcount in the next three months, according to the IT executive outlook survey released this week by TEKsystems. Forty percent plan to increase permanent headcount.

“With consumerization of IT, mobility, social media, big data and security being at the top of most executives priority list’s, organizations need to ensure their workforce strategy is capable of supporting the current and future state of their business,” said TEKsystems Director Rachel Russell. “Businesses are realizing their workforce requirements will vary from initiative to initiative. By workforce planning and effectively leveraging a contingent model, organizations can ramp up or down and efficiently get their IT initiatives done.”

TEKsystems partnered with the Inavero Institute to conduct the quarterly survey of more than 1,500 IT leaders. TEKsystems is a division of Allegis Group.
