Supplemental Health Care elects chairman, vice chairman

December 17, 2014

Supplemental Health Care, a Park City, Utah-based healthcare staffing firm, elected Fred Brown as chairman of the firm’s board of directors and Joe O’Neill as vice-chairman.

Brown replaces Jim Hoover, who has been chairman since 2000 and is stepping down to pursue other business opportunities. O’Neill’s role is a new position within the company.

Brown is former chairman of The Joint Commission Board of Commissioners, founding president and CEO of BJC HealthCare and past chairman of the American Hospital Association.

“Fred has been a strong guiding force for the company in the ever-changing healthcare landscape — most recently helping the organization bring our innovative workforce solutions to the forefront,” said President and CEO said Janet Elkin. “He has an unwavering moral compass that helps guide every interaction with our valued clients and clinicians.”

While serving as a board member, Brown pushed Supplemental Health Care’s decision to become certified by The Joint Commission. He was also instrumental in launching the company’s RPO division.

O’Neill is a longtime Supplemental Health Care board member. He is president and CEO of Public Strategies, a public affairs firm in Washington D.C.

Supplemental Health Care ranks ninth on Staffing Industry Analysts’ list of largest healthcare staffing firms.
