Sun Healthcare Group Inc. (NASD: SUNH) appointed Jeffrey Kreger as principal accounting officer and senior vice president on Sept. 14, the company said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Bryan Shaul, executive vice president, chief financial officer and principal financial officer, had served as principal accounting officer prior to Kreger’s appointment to that position.

Kreger was vice president and corporate controller since 2006. Prior to joining Sun, Kreger was vice president and controller of Consolidated Graphics Inc., a publicly owned commercial printer.

Additionally, the company said in the statement to the SEC that Michael Newman, executive vice president, general counsel and assistant secretary, will retire effective Sept. 30. Michael Berg, Sun’s assistant general counsel and secretary, will serve as interim general counsel.

Irvine, Calif.-based Sun provides healthcare services including healthcare staffing through its CareerStaff Unlimited brand.
