Strategic Staffing Solutions acquired the information technology direct hire staffing and consulting business of National Technical Systems Inc. (NASD: NTSC), according to an announcement from NTS. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The business had revenue of $10.0 million in the six months ended July 31, according to NTS.

Strategic Staffing Solutions said the deal is the largest acquisition in its history and will add five branch offices as well as a presence on the West Coast. Strategic Staffing Solutions, a privately held company based in Detroit, ranked No. 96 on Staffing Industry Analysts' list of largest staffing firms based on U.S. revenue and No. 6 on the list of women- and minority-owned staffing firms.

Calabasas CA-based NTS provides product testing, staffing and other services.
