State seeks two staffing firm owners for $373,351 in taxes, penalties

March 23, 2015

Two owners of a staffing firm are being sought by authorities for $373,351 in unpaid taxes, interest and penalties, the Georgia Department of Revenue reported Friday.

Linda Maddox, also known as Linda Naylor and co-owner Delayne Sproles, owned and operated Temporary Resource Personnel LLC and TRP Partners LLC — temporary staffing firms, according to the department.

Naylor owned and operated the firms from incorporation in December 2009 through February 2015; Sproles left the company as co-owner in 2013, according to the department. Both firms appeared to have operated concurrently, at the same location and conducted business operations.

The business failed to pay $291,969 in Georgia withholding taxes to the state between 2009 and 2014, and now the amount is $373,351 with penalties and interest, according to the department. Both Naylor and Sproles now have warrants for their arrest and were at large as of Friday.

“This is stolen money, this isn’t just you didn’t pay your taxes,” said Chief Josh Waites of the Georgira Department of Revenue Office of Special Investigations. “This is money they collected for the benefit of the state and they kept it.”
