January 18, 2013

A Maryland staffing firm will pay $159,044 to resolve allegations that it submitted false claims to Medicaid, the Maryland Attorney General’s Office announced. The firm, All About You Health Care Services Inc. is based in Milford Mill, Md., and provides home healthcare and nurse staffing.

An investigation showed that All About You performed services without adequate medical supervision in violation of Maryland Medicaid regulations, according to the Attorney General’s Office. The company also billed Medicaid for services not rendered in accordance with program regulations, according to the office. Additionally, All About You allowed services to be provided by a home health care aide who resided with a patient in violation of applicable requirements.

The payment provides restitution to the Maryland Medicaid program and includes additional penalties.
