Staffing Exec Gets Five Years of Probation

The former controller of one-time healthcare staffing firm World Health Alternatives Inc. was sentenced to five years’ probation on April 25 on a single felony criminal count, according to court records. The former controller, Deanna Seruga, did not alert authorities that she knew fraudulent financial information was being filed back in late 2003, according to court records.

World Health Alternatives was at one time a publicly traded healthcare staffing firm based in Pittsburgh. It is now defunct.
