May 13, 2011

Authorities arrested a staffing executive in New York state on suspicion of grand larceny and criminal tax fraud, the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Under arrest was Phillip Missirlian, who had served as CEO of Massapequa, N.Y.-based Greystone Staffing Inc. and Greystone Healthcare Staffing of NY LLC, according to the District Attorney’s Office. The staffing firms failed to pay $496,850 in employees’ withholding taxes during tax years 2007 and 2009, the office reported.

Missirlian faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted, and the companies face a possible $10,000 fine, according to the office.
