Spring Group PLC, a London-based staffing firm with operations in the United States, posted a 31.4% increase in revenue to GBP250.5 million (US$499.8 million) in the first six months of the year. The company reported revenue of GBP190.5 million in the same period last year.

Gross margin improved to 13.6% from 12.3%.

Net income rose 21.3% to GBP2.5 million (US$4.9 million) from GBP2.0 million in the first six months of last year.

The company also named Neil Martin as CFO. He is presently CFO at Barkers Group Ltd.
