South Dakota reports lowest jobless rate

South Dakota registered the lowest jobless rate among all states for the third month in a row in February with an unemployment rate of 2.6%. It was followed by Wyoming at 2.7% and Idaho and Nebraska at 2.8% each.

Michigan again posted the highest jobless rate among states at 7.2%. Alaska had the second-highest at 6.6%.

Year-over-year, 26 states and the District of Columbia posted higher unemployment rates in February, 20 states reported lower jobless rates, and four states had no change.
