Source2 reported revenue rose 8.5 percent to $4.9 million in its second quarter from $4.5 million in the year-ago quarter. Gross margin at the Winter Park, Fla.-based staffing provider improved to 22.0 percent from 21.2 percent in the same quarter a year ago.

Second-quarter net income fell 9.4 percent year over year to $141,109. Several factors contributed to the decrease in net income including an increase in sales and marketing expenses and continuing legacy costs associated with the Bennett Hall acquisition last year, according to the company.
