Solü Technology Partners, a Rochester, N.Y.-based IT staffing and managed services firm, acquired Technology Staffing Solutions (TSS) in Phoenix in a deal that closed Monday. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Privately held TSS is a staffing and recruiting company specializing in IT. Croop-LaFrance Inc., an IT services firm, spun off its commercial services technology staffing division last June to form Solü Technology, and this is Solü’s first acquisition and first office in the west.

“With this acquisition we will strengthen our presence in Phoenix, which is one of the fastest-growing markets in the U.S., expand our combined national client base and increase project opportunities for all our consultants,” said Solü President James “Jim” Smith.

TSS founder John O’Brien will remain with the firm as sales manager of Solü’s Phoenix office. TSS staff will also remain, and the company will begin operating under the Solü brand.
