Smart-Tek Solutions Inc. (OTCBB: STTN.PK), a professional employer organization that also provides healthcare staffing, has changed its name to Trucept Inc.

“The new name, Trucept, will give us greater flexibility in the market,” said CEO Brian Bonar. “We plan to announce the new ticker symbol within one week.”

The name Smart-Tek represented the company’s business prior to 2009 that delivered high-tech security based solutions. The new name better reflects the current business model, according to the company.

The company also operates the Solvis brand of staffing in Michigan and California.
