Skilled Group revenue rises 39%

Australian staffing firm Skilled Group Limited reported a 39% increase in full-year revenue to AUS$1.93 billion (US$1.86 billion) in its fiscal year ended June 30, 2008.

Skilled Group, based near Melbourne, Australia, made four acquisitions during the year, including Offshore Marine Services, a supplier of personnel to offshore oil and gas operations; Hudson's Australian trade and industrial business; Tradeforce NZ, a New Zealand industrial staffing firm; and Longhill Group, a provider of plant machine operators. The company also sold its SEM emergency vehicle manufacturing division.

Full-year net income rose 32% to AUS$39.3 million (US$37.8 million).
