Rhode Island posts highest jobless rates

Rhode Island posted the highest unemployment rate among all states in January at 9.2 percent, according to data released today by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Nevada and Illinois followed, both at 8.7 percent, and California was next at 8.1 percent.

North Dakota posted the lowest unemployment rate in January at 2.6 percent.
