Rhode Island and Nevada post highest jobless rates

Rhode Island and Nevada posted the highest unemployment rates among all states in December at 9.1 percent and 8.8 percent respectively, according to data released today by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Illinois was next at 8.6 percent, followed by Michigan at 8.4 percent.

North Dakota posted the lowest unemployment rate in November at 2.6 percent.
