BRIEFING - Public staffing company quarterly results analysis
First-quarter revenue rose a median 7.6% versus the year earlier at 34 publicly traded staffing companies tracked by Staffing Industry Analysts. Twenty-nine of the 34 companies reported a revenue increase. Net income rose a median 8.9%. For more, click here.

BRIEFING - Highlights from the 2008 NALTO conference
The 2008 National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations conference was held April 30 through May 2 in Memphis TN. The conference, which is done in conjunction with the National Association of Physician Recruiters, had more than 200 attendees this year, and attendance was reported to be up approximately 20% against prior year. BRIEFING - Philadelphia Fed lowers 2Q GDP forecast
Economists cut their projections for growth in real gross domestic product in the second quarter to only 0.2%, according to the latest Survey of Professional Forecasters released today by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
