Report: More managers to use staffing firms

More hiring managers plan to use staffing firms in the third quarter than in the second, according to a report released by CareerBuilder.com.

A survey conducted for the report found a weighted percentage of 13.0% of hiring managers planned to use a staffing firm in the third quarter compared with 12.6% in the second. The increase came among hiring managers at large companies with more than 500 employees. Smaller firms planned less usage of staffing firms.

The CareerBuilder.com survey also found that more job candidates were willing to use staffing firms in the third quarter, 24%, than in the second, 22%. Technology, information technology and scientific workers were the most open to using staffing firms in the third quarter with 34% saying they would use one.

The survey included 5,210 hiring managers and 9,667 U.S. employees.
