The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Monday the Canadian federal public service spent C$276 million (US$221.7 million) on temporary employees in 2007-2008, up from C$105 million in 2003-2004. Commissions to staffing firms accounted for about 20% of the costs, the broadcasting company reported.
