The Mainichi Daily News reported that Japan's manufacturing sector may cut 400,000 temporary workers by the end of March. The report was on unemployment forecasts for temporary workers by the Japan Production Skill Labor Association and the Japan Manufacturing Outsourcing Association. The newspaper said Japan's manufacturing sector has 1 million temporary workers and the 400,000 represents 40%.
