Recruit Realigns Management at Advantage

April 13, 2012

Recruit Co. Ltd. changed up management at its Advantage Resourcing operations in the U.S. and United Kingdom. Recruit, one of the world’s largest staffing firms, acquired the Advantage businesses earlier this year for $410 million.

Ralph Peterson will serve as president of the Americas. He will oversee three divisions of Advantage in the U.S.:

  • Advantage Technical Resourcing (engineering and information technology staffing)
  • Advantage Staffing (commercial staffing)
  • Advantage Professional (finance, human resources and marketing)

These U.S. operations posted $900 million in revenue in 2011. Peterson formerly served as president of Advantage Staffing.

Graeme Maude will lead the Advantage Technical Resourcing and Advantage Professional businesses in the U.K — which had revenue of approximately $200 million in 2011 —  and focus on European and Asia-Pacific growth. Maude previously served as global president of Advantage Professional.

The three business lines — Advantage Technical Resourcing, Advantage Staffing and Advantage Professional — were previously managed globally.

Advantage’s recruitment outsourcing solutions division, Advantage xPO, will continue under the leadership of President Karen Browne.

“We are confident that grouping U.S. and U.K. staffing businesses under single leaders positions our company for continued growth and enhances our ability to serve our 4,000 clients and 21,000 associates,” said Hitoshi Motohara, chairman and CEO of Advantage Resourcing. “In addition, I would like to acknowledge Jim Klauber, the former president of Advantage Technical Resourcing, for his dedication and service to Advantage and wish him well in his future endeavors.”
