Randstad reports revenue up 7.7% in October, North America sales growth rises

Randstad, the world’s second-largest staffing firm, reported revenue per working day in October rose 7.7% on an organic basis, up from a revenue increase of 5.4% in the third quarter. Volumes in November so far indicate a continuation of the trend.

Gross profit in October increased 8.4% compared to a 5.8% rise in the third quarter, and perm fees rose 9% in October compared to 13% in the third quarter.

North America reported 5% sales growth for the month, up from 4% for the prior quarter. US business grew 6% compared to 5% in the third quarter.

In Europe, sales rose 8% in October, up from 5% in the third quarter.

Other revenue growth for October by geography: 

  • France: 8% vs. 3% in Q3
  • Iberia: 14% vs. 8% in Q3
  • Italy: 26% vs. 20% in Q3
  • Belgium: 10% vs. 1% in Q3
  • The Netherlands: 10%, stable vs. Q3
  • Germany: 2%, stable vs. Q3

Randstad made the announcements in advance of its Capital Markets Day in London.
