Randstad buys Team BS

September 12, 2007

Randstad Holding NV signed a deal to acquire German staffing company Team BS for euro71.0 million (US$98.7 million). The deal still needs approval from German regulators.

Team BS has 36 outlets (nine of which are on customers' sites). It primarily serves the pharmaceutical, chemical, consumer goods and automotive industries. The company is on track for 2007 revenue of euro55.0 million (US$76.4 million).

"Team BS reinforces our leading position in Germany," said Randstad CEO Ben Noteboom. "Team BS will strengthen the density of our network, especially in the Rhine-Main area."

Randstad said it had about a 14% share of the euro9 billion German staffing market in 2006. It's working toward a market share of 20%.
