Randstad Holding NV announced Dec. 28 that preparations for its acquisition of fellow Netherlands-based staffing company
are under way and plans are to submit the offer to a Dutch regulator before Feb. 25. Shareholder meetings of both companies are still planned for March and April.
Randstad's acquisition of Vedior would create the world's second-largest staffing company. Randstad announced Dec. 3 that it would pay euro3.51 billion (US$5.14 billion) in cash and stock for Vedior.
