Raleigh, N.C., topped the list of fastest-growing cities for tech jobs, according to the latest Dice report, with more than 1,100 job openings on any given day, up 50 percent year-over-year.

Two cities in California, Sacramento and San Diego, made the list. Tech paychecks in sectors such as healthcare have jumped six percent year over year to $87,000 on average in Sacramento, while in San Diego, defense and aerospace companies are recruiting and tech salaries average more than $85,000 annually.
