“While most people talk about the unemployment rates being so high, we are actually seeing a very different side to the employment marketplace. … This year we are experiencing a 5.4 percent increase in requests for workers, compared to 2011. But it’s taking a lot more effort and expense in recruiting to fill these positions,” the Petaluma (Calif.) Argus-Courier newspaper reports Nicole Smartt, co-owner of Star Staffing in Petaluma, as saying in a comment on the employment situation.
