Petroleum engineering is highest-paid major for 2015

Engineering majors top the list of highest-paid majors for the class of 2015, according to a report from the National Association of Colleges and Employers. Petroleum engineering ranked as the highest-paid college major for this year’s grads.

The projected median starting salary for bachelor’s degree-level petroleum engineering graduates stands at $93,750. Engineering majors represented all of the 10 highest-paid bachelor’s level degrees.

The top-paid majors for the class of 2015 bachelor’s degree graduates:

  1. Petroleum engineering: $93,750
  2. Chemical engineering: $66,500
  3. Electrical engineering: $65,000
  4. Nuclear engineering: $65,000
  5. Computer engineering: $63,000
  6. Mechanical engineering: $63,000
  7. Systems engineering: $63,000
  8. Aerospace/aeronautical engineering: $62,750
  9. Materials engineering/science: $62,750
  10. Industrial/manufacturing engineering: $62,500
