Peoplelink acquires IT consulting firm, announces Peoplelink Solutions Group

July 08, 2014

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions acquired Actium Consulting, a management consulting firm that provides project-driven IT staffing and consulting services. The company also formed Peoplelink Group, an entity to house its various staffing brands.

The Actium acquisition closed July 1; terms were not disclosed.

Actium, headquartered in Sacramento, Calif., currently operates in six states. The Actium brand will remain, and no changes are planned to its current management team.

The acquisition is well-suited for Peoplelink’s profit center business model, according to Peoplelink CEO Jay Wilkinson.

“The acquisition will bring a talented staff of veterans and will provide current Actium clients with even more choices and higher levels of staffing support and human capital services,” Wilkinson said.

Peoplelink also announced the new corporate entity Peoplelink Group will now house Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, as well as their skilled trade brands Trade Management and MEP Staffing; professional/IT brands Zing! Recruiting, Elite Personnel, and Visiont Solutions; and quality/sort/inspection brands Sustained Quality, Global SQ, and 2AM, a South Carolina-based firm Peoplelink acquired in February.

“This move allows Peoplelink to better cross-sell all of its services and to offer a wider range of unique business solutions,” said Wilkinson. “Peoplelink Group will be highly competitive in all of its service verticals and better positioned to affect the customer's productivity and bottom-line performance.”

Each Peoplelink Group brand has its own professional management organization and operates independently as an individual business line.

South Bend, Ind.-based Peoplelink ranks No. 84 on Staffing Industry Analysts’ list of largest U.S. staffing firms and No. 28 on the list of largest industrial staffing firms in the United States. It is majority owned by Groupe Crit, a Paris-based staffing provider, which acquired a majority share in Peoplelink in September 2011.
