PeopleScout Kicks Off Plan to Hire Veterans

February 03, 2012

PeopleScout reported it kicked off its veteran hiring initiative in Indianapolis today, where the Super Bowl will be played on Sunday. Governor Mitch Daniels was on hand for the announcement as well as Bill Cowher, former coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Paul Rieckhoff, founder and director of Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans of America, according to the company.

PeopleScout, a provider of recruitment process outsourcing (RPO), aims to hire more than 10,000 veterans in 2012, an estimated 25 percent increase over 2011.

The initiative will offer RPO clients a priority screening and tracking process to identify and prioritize people with military service for open positions. The initiative also includes a plan to use military hiring fairs, veteran support organizations, veteran-specific job boards and other contact points to source candidates.
